08/07/2002 Expo "Que Pinta la Sida" - approaching Aids
prevention through humour
Design for the World, in collaboration with the
cultural program of the 14th International Aids Conference, is
hosting a small exposition of comics used to educate
adolescents about Aids. The comics have been made by famous
Spanish cartoonists, and are used by the Centre Jove
d'Anticoncepció i Sexualitat to make young people think about
Aids.
 Cartoon by
Lluisot | The
exposition takes place in the Design for the World offices, in
the park of the Palau de Pedralbes, Avinguda Diagonal 686 in
Barcelona.
The 14th International Aids Conference is taking
place from the 7th till the 13th of July, and brings together
scientists, medical staff and organisations working around
Aids - more than 14.000 people from all over the world.
Design for the World has invited 3 graphic designers
from Africa and South America to participate in the Conference
to highlight the role of graphic design in communication about
Aids.
